Regulating Online Betting in Brazil through Digital Innovation

In response to Brazil’s growing online betting crisis—marked by underage access, deceptive marketing practices, and a surge in population debt—I led a cross-disciplinary innovation initiative to explore digital solutions for real-time regulatory enforcement. The project resulted in four student-led prototypes, two of which are currently under consideration by public consumer protection agencies, including PROCON.
